Janitorial Technician

Overview

Touchmark in the West Hills is Portland’s leading full-service retirement community, enriching the lives of residents and their families through five-star hospitality, services, and amenities. We are seeking a compassionate person to join our team as a Janitorial Technician
. This is a full-time position. Tuesday through Saturday. Wage is $20.29 to $21.23 per hour DOE.

• Exterior: maintain sidewalks, landscaping, entryways, and parking lots free of debris, litter, and dog waste; monitor garbage and recycling areas; clean windows; remove cobwebs; and remove snow and/or ice.
• Interior: uphold a “white glove” standard of presentation in office and common areas; perform custodial duties such as stripping, waxing, and buffing floors; cleaning carpets; sanitizing kitchen and lavatory facilities; maintaining the swimming pool (chemicals, temperature, and cleanliness); and assist with housekeeping duties as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience maintaining and cleaning swimming pools
• Can-do attitude and passion for maintaining a five-star site appearance
• Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions
• Ability to read, write, and speak English to effectively communicate with residents and team members; physical ability to perform tasks requiring continuous walking, standing, bending, and lifting
• Patient and tactful demeanor when dealing with residents, family members, staff, and visitors
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds with proper lifting techniques
