Guardian has a need for a Full Time Maintenance Technician to join our team at St. Francis Park
!

St. Francis Park is a 106‑unit apartment community in SE Portland, OR. The Maintenance Technician’s primary role is to support the Community Manager by ensuring site safety and completing required property maintenance necessary to maintain excellent curb appeal and the overall appearance and quality of the properties on a scheduled basis.

This includes prioritizing and processing work orders, which may include both urgent and routine maintenance of property and apartment units. The position ensures compliance with OSHA regulations and Guardian policies. The Technician coordinates with other property staff and vendors to provide outstanding customer service, proactive maintenance, safeguard the financial health of the properties, and complete all required paperwork and reports on time.

Schedule: 40 hours / week;
Monday‑Friday.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • At least one year of work experience in property maintenance and repairs, construction or related experience preferred.
  • Possess and transport own tools and materials needed for job.
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to complete company training requirements within pre‑determined deadlines.
  • Must own or have access to a properly insured vehicle with valid driver’s license and insurance.
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification may be required if the property has a pool, per state regulations.
Essential Functions
  • Represent Guardian in a positive and professional manner at all times.
  • Support Community Manager’s efforts to meet and exceed property management obligations.
  • Maintain the property in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws (fire, backflow, OSHA, etc.).
  • Walk property grounds daily and maintain exterior for excellent curb appeal.
  • Alert supervisor of potential liabilities or repairs; identify structural, electrical, plumbing, and appliance issues.
  • Respond to all service requests and complete Work Orders and Apartment Turnovers in a timely and professional manner in accordance with Guardian policies and procedures.
  • Keep accurate records of space conditions; maintain model unit in ready state for showings.
  • Inspect property and vacant apartments regularly and coordinate vendor schedules.
  • Be on call for emergencies after business hours and weekends, rotating with other staff.
  • Communicate with supervisor about any resident questions or concerns.
  • Perform or coordinate maintenance of pools, spas, and pool areas as applicable.
  • Follow confidentiality guidelines for all resident and property information.
  • Accurately record time worked and adhere to time‑keeping guidelines.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Community Manager or Portfolio Manager.
