Rate of Pay: $16.00-$18.00

Schedule: Monday-Saturday

Hours: 11:00PM- 4:00AM

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

The Desk Monitor monitors the front desk and helps maintain building security and facilities in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.

  • Monitor front door activity; require that all guests entering the building provide a valid, current  sign into the log book.
  • Perform janitorial duties as assigned daily, such as dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, washing windows, and ensuring restrooms are in acceptable condition.
  • Become familiar with and enforce all company policies and procedures and safety regulations.
  • Interface with owner/agency/residents regarding issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Notify Community Manager of lease agreement violations by completing written incident reports.
  • Check in with fellow employees at the beginning and end of your shift, including notifying existing employees when you are going to lunch or leaving the property.
  • Respond promptly to after‑hours calls from the emergency service and promptly notify Community Manager of any emergencies. Call 911 if needed.
  • Notify Community Manager concerning the need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
  • Travel as required for in‑person classes and annual education conferences.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance during scheduled hours.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Education

    High school diploma or GED.

    Language Skills

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

    Reasoning Ability

    Ability to problem‑solve and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    Physical Demands

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
