The Crew III Graveyard Pressure Washer position is an integral part of the Clean Start team and is responsible for performing outdoor cleaning duties, field administration, and providing mentorship to other Clean Start employees.
A successful applicant for the Crew III Graveyard Pressure Washer position should demonstrate reliability and a strong sense of personal duty, taking pride in their work. They must possess a solid understanding of policies and processes, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and in accordance with established guidelines. This role requires individuals who are committed to maintaining a clean environment and are motivated to contribute positively to the community.
Program: Established in 1996, the Clean Start Program offers full-time employment and essential job skills to the client base of Central City Concern. By providing comprehensive trash removal and cleaning services across the Portland metro area, Clean Start not only helps maintain a cleaner environment but also empowers its participants with valuable work experience and the opportunity to build a brighter future.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00pm - 3:30am (Saturday and Sunday off).

Compensation: $24.94/hr - $33.11/hr Final comp will be determined based on relevant experience, education, credentials/licensure, and internal equity. External candidates:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- One year of indoor or outdoor cleaning experience required.
- Experience with biohazard identification and proper disposal highly preferred.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with other staff, Portland Police officers, the general public, and people in the camps experiencing homelessness.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Ability to adhere to Central City Concern’s drug-free workplace, which encourages a safe, healthy, and productive work environment and strictly compliance with the Drug-Free Work Place Ace of 1988.An employee shall not, in the workplace, unlawfully manufacture, distribute, dispense, possess, or use a controlled substance or alcohol.
- Must carry an agency cell phone for work use. Central City Concern will provide a cell phone.
- Must possess a current driver’s license, pass a DMV background check and be designated an “acceptable” driver as outlined in Central City Concern’s Fleet Safety Policy. Must pass an initial driver training within 60 days of being approved and continued recertification training.
- Must generally have the ability to walk, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, reach, pull and lift heavy objects, and climb stairs with reasonable or no accommodation.
