Custodian – 3rd Shift; Pottstown Campus

Montgomery County Community College invites applications for the Full-Time Custodian position‑3rd Shift.

The Full-Time Custodian maintains a clean and sanitary environment at the College.

• High school diploma, GED, or 1‑2 years’ experience required
• Valid Driver’s License required

• Must be physically capable of performing all duties on job description
• Must be able to communicate effectively

• Ability to read, write, and follow routine instructions
• Ability to work within a team‑oriented setting

• Functions as part of the emergency response team and is expected to work when the College is closed, for emergencies.
• Must be able to lift trash containers weighing up to 30 pounds and deposit bags in larger trash containers on trash cart.
• Must be able to perform bending, stretching, kneeling repetitive movements such as those involved in sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, washing walls & chalkboards, cleaning/sanitizing restrooms, or shoveling snow.
• Must be able to perform repeated bending of knees and kneeling for extended periods of time while removing accumulated buildup from baseboards and edges of walls and floors.
• Must be able to perform repeated climbing and balancing on ladders for extended periods of time while changing lights, high‑dusting ball lights, window ledges, etc.
• Must be able to push & pull and lift & carry for extended periods of time while delivering and moving equipment and supplies.
