The Children's Home of Poughkeepsie has been caring for children throughout the Hudson Valley for over 175 years! We strive to empower children and families to achieve optimal health and well being. We are currently seeking a Maintenance Worker to join our Operations Department.
Position SummaryThe Maintenance Worker is responsible for basic maintenance tasks at all agency facilities. The Maintenance Worker ensures that agency facilities and grounds are in compliance with all health and safety guidelines.
Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesSchedule:
Monday - Friday 8am-5pm with rotating on call responsibilities

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid NYS Driver License in good standing as determined by the Agency
- Must complete and pass a pre‑employment physical, PPD and drug screen and an annual physical and PPD
- At least 1 year of experience working in a congregate care setting.
- Higher education and/or trade or technical school.
