Mon, Wed, Fri 11a-3p (12 hours)

Rate: $20.45

This position will be responsible for the cleaning of an office building in the Poughkeepsie area. Quality assurance, maintaining overhead costs, and ensuring high customer service standards are the major tasks associated with this position.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

• Floor Care (knowledge of scrubbers or auto-buffers a plus)
• Cleaning of restrooms
• Window cleaning
• Removing of trash and recyclables
• Possible snow removal

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONAL / ORGANIZATIONAL SUPPORT

• Works as part of a team to ensure the requirements of the contract are fulfilled
• Additional tasks as assigned by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience
• Strong organization skills with accurate attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task
• Able to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to function as part of a cohesive team

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Previous cleaning experience required

PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS

• Capable of walking between buildings to get to other locations
• Must be capable of standing for several hours
• Must be able to moving arms back and forth in a “mopping” motion
• Must be able to lift >20 lbs
• Must be able to climb stairs
• Work alongside co-workers within 3 feet
• Must be able to reach overhead to get at higher locations
