Duties description duties:
* perform routine and unskilled work such as carrying supplies and equipment, erecting ladders and scaffolding, cleaning, and repairing drains, removing materials from the work site.
* prepare surfaces and spreading paint, loading, and unloading trucks, performing rough carpentry and masonry work, and cleaning the work site after repair work is completed.
* perform a variety of routine building maintenance tasks such as unclogging toilets and sinks. May assist the trades generalist with replacing toilet and faucet fixtures.
* perform other maintenance tasks such as collecting and disposing of trash, planting or weeding, and snow removal by shovel or powered snow removal equipment.
* replace light bulbs; wash and dust fixtures, furnishings, floors, corridors, stairs, stairwells, and partitions using appropriate supplies and equipment; including ladders and scaffolding.
Note:
Operating needs:
* ability to lift 50 lbs.
* ability to work at heights using ladders, scaffolding, platforms and boom lifts.
* ability to operate small equipment including lawnmowers, snow blowers, weed eaters, floor buffers, vacuums, etc.
Shift: monday-friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm
Minimum qualifications applicants must be physically able to perform the tasks of the position and able to understand and carry out written or oral instructions.
Preferred qualifications:
Applicants must be able to read, speak, and understand english, and must possess a valid new york state motor vehicle operator's license appropriate for the type of vehicle to be operated.
Note:
in order to award the proper credit for work experience, resumes must include month and year for start and end dates. If any of this experience is less than full time you must indicate the average number of hours worked per week.
