Porter/Maintenance Assistant
– Job Description
Hours:
8:00am – 4:00 pm:
Monday – Friday 1/2 hour lunch. Two 15 minute breaks. Overtime Snow Removal or when approved by management. PTO Time. $20/hour start - After 90 days $21/hour Overtime hours must be submitted to manager.
Cleaning all Common Areas Dusting, Vacuuming, mopping, cleaning windows and glass, emptying all garbage cans, cleaning common area bathrooms.
Garbage & Recyclables:3 times a week, bring recyclables down to garbage room from each floor.
Empty garbage can in the mezzanine
Clean Garbage Room. Sweep & mop, clean out can if necessary.
Vacant Apartment Prep:Cleaning (appliances, cabinets, bathroom, Sliders, etc).
Stripping/cleaning tile floor in bathroom to get grout clean
Replace hardware as needed
Clean up balcony – stain concrete if necessary. Paint railing if necessary.
Notify leasing office when carpet is ready to be cleaned or if there is any additional work that needs to be done by maintenance staff.
Miscellaneous Responsibilities:Snow Removal – Cleaning off vehicles, shoveling, salting sidewalks, etc.
Landscaping as needed could include: weed removal, pick up trash, occasional mowing when needed, mulching as needed.
