The Maintenance Mechanic III is responsible for completion of preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment problems, removing and adjusting defective parts, all in a safe and efficient manner.
Perform repairs, adjustments, and preventive maintenance tasks on critical equipment.
Initiate corrective maintenance work orders for nonconforming equipment or systems.
Escalate issues that may affect product quality, safety, or compliance to the Maintenance Manager or Quality Department.
Work independently, with little to no supervision.
Support cross-functional teams and departments with technical maintenance expertise to ensure smooth operations and quality output.
Document maintenance activities, findings, and corrective actions in logs and maintenance software, enduring traceability and alignment with quality system requirements.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or Team Lead.
Stop production equipment when safety or quality risks are identified.
Approve completion of maintenance activities in the CMMS.
Skills RequirementsMust be able to read and interpret accurately basic mechanical drawings, as well as machine manuals and parts list.
Must be able to use hand tools, power tools, ladders and platforms.
Have a working knowledge of measuring devices such as tape measures, calipers and dial indicators.
Must have a working knowledge of maintenance shop equipment.
Competent computer skills and the ability to learn new software skills (such as the CMMS).
Must be able to lift, move, push, or pull up to 50lbs.
