Custodian; Part-time - Facilities; Prescott

This is a Part-time position working approximately 15-20 hours a week.

Most positions are evening hours 5:00pm - 1:00am though some exceptions may apply. Works days may vary.

Under general supervision, performs service work of routine difficulty in various custodial duties.

• Cleans and maintains County facilities, including dusting, mopping, scrubbing, polishing, carpet spotting and cleaning restrooms, entries, walkway, and glass using appropriate cleaning solutions.
• Performs equipment care, including cleaning and changing belts and bags.
• Identifies and reports repair needs and maintains inventory of cleaning supplies for assigned buildings.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

High school diploma or equivalent.

No experience required.

Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license.

• General cleaning procedures.

• Keep management informed of key operating issues affecting the department.
• Remain current in knowledge required to perform assigned duties.
• Handle confidential matters and maintain discretion always.
• Act with courtesy, tact, and diplomacy.

The work environment is associated with various indoor and outdoor locations, in all weather conditions and includes exposure to loud noise, blood borne pathogens, dust, fumes, mist, and chemicals.

Ability to bend or stoop repeatedly or continually over time; move, lift, push, pull a variety of heavy objects; mix and work with cleaning fluids, chemicals, or similar solutions using normal protective equipment; remain in a standing position for extended periods of time. Sufficient vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; hearing and speech ability to communicate effective in-person and telephonically.

Capable of frequent repetitive movement of arms, fingers, and wrists. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
