Part Time - Temporary
(Not eligible for all benefits, will accrue paid sick time)
Pay Range: $19.00 per hour
FLSA Status:
Non exempt, eligible for overtime compensation

Essential DutiesPerforms a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled tasks including maintenance of all park facilities, janitorial duties, restroom cleaning is a must, trash pickup, weeding, raking, painting, and special events preparation and other duties as required. Incumbents receive general supervision from a Lead Maintenance Technician, Coordinator or Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications- Must be at least 17 years old at the time of hire.
- Must possess a valid Arizona driver's license.
- Must be able to perform physical work outdoors under all weather conditions.
- Evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required depending on special events.
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
- Skill in performing grounds/facilities maintenance and landscaping tasks and in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
- Skill in using hand and power tools to maintain/repair buildings and facilities and in following oral and written instructions.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with the general public and City employees contacted in the course of work.
- Ability to clearly, concisely and effectively communicate in person and over the telephone and to safely operate required equipment and city vehicle as needed.
Successful candidate will receive a post‑offer, pre‑employment background screening to include:
