Position Summary: Responsible for cleaning buildings and keeping office areas clean by performing the following duties.

Mon-Thurs 5pm-9pm;
Fri 4pm-8pm; open to change.

Must be able to work a 40‑hour work week and additional time as required.

• Clean buildings by emptying trash, cleaning surfaces, sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors
• Clean and disinfect office equipment
• Sanitize high‑touch surfaces
• Steam‑clean carpets as needed
• Use cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces
• Mix various cleaning agents
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors
• Dust furniture and scrub surfaces clean
• Clean and service restrooms with mops and disinfectants
• Move heavy equipment and furniture
• Identify and report possible repairs
• Stock all toilet paper and paper towel dispensers
• Stock and maintain supply rooms
• Follow all health and safety regulations, understand potential chemical hazards

• Maintains regular and consistent job attendance. Comes to work on time.
• Follows IE’s safety standards and programs including Cardinal Safety Rules.
• Follows and complies with IE Core Values.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proven working experience as a Janitor.
• Ability to handle heavy equipment and lift up to 10 pounds.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Ability to observe safety and security procedures and to comply with policies.
• Ability to read and interpret written information, write clear statements, and communicate orally.
• Must be able to do physical work and operate power equipment normally found in janitorial operations.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to follow schedules and keep commitments.
• Ability to follow directions from a supervisor.
• Ability to demonstrate professionalism.
• Must be able to manage time efficiently and work individually as well as within a team.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, color vision, ability to adjust focus.
• During duties, employee regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
• Employee frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
