Custodian

Princeton Day School has an immediate opening for an experienced Custodian
. The Custodian position works Monday through Friday from 3:00pm to 11:30pm with some weekends. The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly and safe environment for Princeton Day School.

• Clean, polish and disinfect bathroom fixtures, urinals, toilets and mirrors. Clean bathroom walls and floors. Replenish all bathroom supplies.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax floors and stairs. Clean walls and baseboards. Wash windows. Vacuum all carpets.
• Collect trash and recycling and place in proper dumpster. Keep the dumpster area neat and clean.
• Clean all desk tops and polish furniture. Wipe down all chalk boards and/or white boards.
• Set‑up/break‑down for events and lunch.
• Outside garbage removal from all PDS residential properties.
• Garbage removal from receptacles at all athletic fields.
• Respond immediately to all emergency situations in the school (floods, sick children, spills).
• Snow removal including shoveling, plowing and operating other snow removal equipment.
• Perform Buildings & Grounds functions when requested or required.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Compensation : $19.00 an hour / $39,520 a year (this role is eligible for PDS full benefits package including 4 weeks paid time off and 15 holidays.)
