Job SummaryUnder supervision of up‑line management, is responsible for the general maintenance of all Providence Water facilities; provides janitorial, custodial, and seasonal maintenance duties; instructions are provided in detail, but work is performed independently with minimum supervision; and related work as required.
7:30 am- 4:00 pm OR 1:00 pm- 9:30 pm
Duties & Responsibilities- Operates building heating and air-conditioning systems, exhaust fans, and emergency generators.
- Performs painting work as assigned.
- Perform janitorial and/or custodial duties including, but not limited to, cleaning and washing walls, ceiling, floors, stairwells, bathrooms, windows, and carpets.
- Performs seasonal duties outside the facility including cutting grass, raking leaves, grounds maintenance, snow removal, and clearing walkways by hand.
- Utilizes small gas and electric power tools and hand tools.
- Operates Providence Water vehicles to pick up and transport materials to various Providence Water locations.
- Adheres to all Providence Water safety procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Experience in minor plumbing and electrical repairs.
- Experience and skill in the operation of small power and hand tools.
- Must possess and maintain a valid State Driver’s License and is responsible to maintain all vehicles maintenance logs.
- Ability to understand and carry out complex oral and written instructions.
- Ability to perform arduous work under adverse weather conditions.
- Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job.
Upon Appointment:
- Customer Service Training
- Sexual Harassment, Sensitivity, and Diversity Training
Sustainment:
- Participation in customer service training every 24 months.
- Must maintain a valid State Driver’s License.
The term “limited” means that the successful candidate will perform the job for an undetermined length of time. The position may or may not become permanent.
