• Accept calls and respond to Dispatch or members with ETA to destination. Locate members, greet them and manage their emotional state (calming or reassuring as needed) while handling technical aspects of the situation.
• Assess the safety of the scene and ensure the vehicle is in a safe location before providing service.
• Provide efficient minor mechanical assistance (if trained and equipped) and towing service, including battery boosts and preliminary diagnostic questions, following all safety procedures.
• Safely tow vehicles when required, following club policies, the AAA towing manual, and manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain the AAA high standard of service and image by keeping the service vehicle and equipment in safe working order, conducting safety checks, and maintaining inventory of tools and products.
• Follow traffic and motor vehicle laws to avoid injury, crashes, and damage.
• Present a professional image of both yourself and the vehicle to positively represent the AAA brand.
• Use the vehicle MDC computer to receive and update call information and manage revenue collection accurately.
• Safeguard confidential information and follow proper paperwork guidelines.
• Promote AAA products and services, including battery replacement services and other available offerings.
• Work independently with minimal face‑to‑face contact, and remain flexible to cover a 24/7 operation.
• Take special care to prevent damage and injury by securing proper points and responding to changing vehicle dynamics.
• Operate safely under pressure in busy circumstances, varied traffic and weather conditions.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

High School Diploma or GED required.

• At least 21 years of age.
• Post‑secondary training in automotive mechanics.
• Familiarity with electrical troubleshooting.

• Active and valid driver’s license issued by only one state or jurisdiction.
• DOT card pre‑hire and current within one year.
• Satisfactorily pass a motor vehicle record check during pre‑hire screening and periodically during employment.
