Job Summary /Basic FunctionThe Preventive Lead oversees the day-to-day operation of a multi-disciplinary team that is responsible for the maintenance of campus structural infrastructure. The Lead schedules and coordinates related maintenance activities and oversees the day-to-day operation of painters who are responsible for the maintenance of the building infrastructure. The Lead equips, trains, and schedules maintenance functions. The Lead will work closely with all Operations’ staff to coordinate campus standards into daily maintenance activities and to schedule necessary assistance for emergency maintenance needs.
Required Qualifications- Journeyman Electrical license
- 6 years full time HVAC experience + must be able to pump down and charge a refrigeration system including replacement of a refrigerant compressor
- 3 years full time HVAC experience + NATE certification + must be able to pump down and charge a refrigeration system including replacement of a refrigerant compressor
- 3 years full time HVAC experience + EPA 608 Universal Certification + must be able to pump down and charge a refrigeration system including replacement of a refrigerant compressor
- Backflow Certification
- Field Related Bachelor’s Degree
- APPA CEFP Certification
- Completion of APPA Institute
- EPA 608 Certification
- Practical knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, and Paint trades
- Strong verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
- Ability to schedule the work‑force and procure all the necessary materials and tools needed
- Basic computers skills to respond to e‑mail, enter data in CMMS, and research O&M data on‑line
