Summary

The cultivation security guard is an overnight position that will stay onsite overnight to ensure the safety of the property and its contents. They will ensure no unauthorized visitors attempt to enter the property overnight, that all systems are functioning normally, and that there are no issues with any of the plants overnight. If need be, they will alert management and/or law enforcement to any issues that may arise.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Replacing faulty grow lights
• Maintaining light deprivation systems
• Maintaining irrigation systems
• Maintaining water systems
• Rebuilding pumps
• Basic electrical work
• Rebuilding sprayers
• Maintaining needed equipment on the farm (tractor, telehandler, skidsteer, trucks)
• Fabrication knowledge is preferred but not necessary.
• All other job duties as assigned
Qualifications

Education:

· High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) required

· Must maintain current knowledge and adhere to all policy and regulations of the Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED);
Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)

Required

Skills & Experience:

· Must hold a current MED employee badge

· Must have 2 years verifiable experience

· Must have a valid driver's license

Physical requirements:

· Must be able to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.

· Must be able to sit, stand, walk, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for extended periods of time.

· Must be able to individually move objects up to 50 lbs in all directions.

· Must be able to work on ladders.

Preferred

Skills & Experience:

· Knowledge of Colorado marijuana laws, MED regulations, and CDPHE requirements.

· Previous marijuana industry experience preferred with priority given to candidates with experience in CO licensed facilities.

· Security experience is required.

· High-level critical thinking, attention to detail, mathematical, language and reasoning skills.
