Summary / Objective

Manages the cleaning operations and maintenance of the facility, furthering a positive member experience.

Essential Functions
  • Clean, disinfect and maintain the physical facility and furnishings.
  • Collect and dispose of trash and waste.
  • Clean bathrooms: sinks, mirrors, toilets, and showers.
  • Clean all air vents and care for all cleaning equipment.
  • Report needed repairs immediately to the supervisor and maintain adequate supplies.
  • Understand safety precautions and cleaning product protocols as recommended by the CDC for all housekeeping services.
  • Deep clean the entire facility thoroughly prior to each vacation/break.
  • Use safety precautions in all housekeeping services.
  • Maintain regular, punctual attendance.
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal laws, including the CDC, facility, and university policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education and /or Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of housekeeping experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively clean, disinfect and maintain facility.
Knowledge
  • Public Safety and Security – Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations.
  • Customer and Personal Service – Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • English Language – Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, including spelling, grammar, and composition.

  • Trunk Strength – Ability to use abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously.
  • Extent Flexibility – Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs.
  • Near Vision – Ability to see details at close range.
  • Oral Comprehension – Ability to listen to and understand spoken information.
  • Oral Expression – Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking.
