Short Description
The Lead Aircraft (A/C) Cleaner is responsible for ensuring that Allegiant Air’s appearance standards for the interior of the aircraft are met on a consistent basis.
SummaryThe Lead Aircraft (A/C) Cleaner is responsible for ensuring that Allegiant Air’s appearance standards for the interior of the aircraft are met on a consistent basis. This position will require verification of the Allegiant RON Cleaning Checklist and the Security Search Checklist for all overnight parked aircraft where applicable. This position will require GSC certification within one year of being hired.
Bi‑Weekly Leadership Meetings are mandatory with the position. This position will require being assigned A/C cleaning roles prior to verification of cleaning and security policies.

Minimum Requirements- Combination of Education and Experience will be considered.
- Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986.
- Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
- Education:
High School Diploma/GED - GSC Certification within one year of being hired.
- Minimum six (6) months of Airline Industry experience.
- Valid/Unexpired Driver’s License:
Yes
- At least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.
- Highly motivated with a positive attitude.
- Detail oriented.
- Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English to receive and understand instructions, directives, and ensure safety, as well as interact with customers.
- Adhere to dress code policy.
- Ability to lead and motivate in a team setting.
- Ability to work efficiently under time constraints.
- Pass and complete background check.
- Attend and successfully complete required training and recurrent training including, but not limited to, computer‑based training.
- Work in extreme outdoor conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a continuous basis.
- Uphold air carrier and airport safety and security protocols and regulations.
- Verify Allegiant RON Cleaning and Security Search Checklists are completed for all overnight parked aircraft where applicable.
- Perform interior and deep cleaning functions of the aircraft as required.
- Ensure the proper use and storage of cleaning agents, equipment, and techniques to achieve thorough and effective cleaning while maintaining the integrity of aircraft surfaces.
- Stock aircraft with necessary supplies, e.g., in‑flight magazines and lavatory supplies.
- Frequent use of cleaning fluids and materials such as washing solutions, scrapers, squeegees, wringer pails, and vacuum cleaners.
- Complete forms connected to work assignments according to established procedures.
- Dispose of trash, rubbish, and waste (including proper disposal of biohazard waste) incidental to job functions.
- Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock at all times.
- Oversee a daily work‑plan of Team Member allocation to ensure efficiencies of aircraft cleaning.
- Coordinate using current processes to order supplies as needed and monitor usage to control costs.
- Responsible for Aircraft Security Searches as required.
- Operate heavy, motorized machinery/equipment including, but not limited to tugs, tractors, belt loaders, bag carts, etc.
- Communicate effectively with cleaning team members, providing clear instructions and updates on cleaning procedures and changes.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
- Ensure any direct reports understand and apply Allegiant’s customer service standards to their daily responsibilities.
- Model Allegiant’s customer service standards in personal actions and when providing leadership direction.
- Other duties as assigned.
Stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, climb and use hands and fingers to operate various types of equipment. Require lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. and pushing or pulling up to 100 lbs. May work various shifts/days in a 24‑hour situation.
