Maintenance Technician

Tuckers Cove Town Center, located in Punta Gorda, FL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Maintenance Technician! $29.00 per hour

Provides daily repair and maintenance services for all aspects of the operation, including offices, public spaces, restroom facilities, grounds, and other areas as required.

• Performs general repairs and maintenance for all areas within the operation, including, but not limited to: electrical, mechanical, and structural aspects of the buildings and grounds
• Maintains cleanliness and appearance of the exterior of the facility, including, but not limited to: emptying trash cans and ashtrays, sweeping walkways, picking up litter, and arranging outdoor furniture
• Maintains cleanliness and appearance of interior areas of the facility, including, but not limited to: emptying trash cans and ashtrays, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and arranging furniture
• Identifies when supplies are needed and reports to the supervisor
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance
• Performs other duties as required

Less than high school education; or up to one month of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Frequently uses hands and reaches with hands and arms. Regularly climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, crawls, stands, walks, and sits. Frequently lifts or carries up to 50 pounds.

Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions, near moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles. Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions. Noise level is moderate.

No certifications or licenses are required.

Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g., associates may be required to communicate with English-speaking customers or co-workers; equipment manuals may be in English).
