This role is expected to work independently to complete interior and exterior repairs and maintenance to all University buildings.

• None.

• Perform general repairs and maintenance to all Campus buildings
• Respond to work orders assigned by work order system and by verbal communication
• Assist other handy people and tradespeople with work related tasks when requested
• Painting as needed
• Assist in office moves as needed
• Perform other related duties as may be assigned within the Facilities Department’s scope of work

• Familiarity with hand and power tools
• Must be willing to occasionally work evenings and weekends in emergency situations and for various special events
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Should be organized and able to handle multiple tasks
• Must have a valid NYS driver license

• Ability to safely use common power tools
• Ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Must have two (2) years of general maintenance experience

• Must be able to lift to 80 pounds and over routinely
• Prolonged periods of physical labor

This is a non-exempt position with an hourly rate of $17.00.

Full-time, 40 hours per week
