Job Summary
According to established procedures cleans and services building areas. Moves furniture, equipment, and supplies, in and around hospital departments, and performs a variety of environmental services duties to maintain the hospital in a neat, orderly, and sanitary condition.
Housekeeper IIJob Responsibilities
- Project work on floors using automatic floor equipment.
- Total patient room cleaning following established procedures.
- Moves equipment and furniture for relocation of offices, for cleaning and rearrangement.
- Trash removal and recycling. May collect hazardous/medical waste.
- Clean entrances and parking lot of debris and trash.
- Provides on-call coverage for weekends and holidays as scheduled.
- Responds to emergency codes.
Education and Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior experience performing cleaning operations in a hospital, industrial or office setting, with minimum three months training preferred.
- Ability to operate cleaning devices, i.e., automatic floor equipment, buffers, commercial vacuums, mops and wringers, and other necessary tools, products and supplies.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position.
