Janitor​/Custodian

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Support campus administration, faculty, staff, and students

* Receive oral and written orders from the building administrator

* Performs work according to procedures and by building operational schedule

* Makes minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing repairs

* Performs painting and touch-up painting

* Empties wastes baskets

* Replaces light bulbs

* Sets up and tears down chairs, tables, and equipment for meetings

* Follows all applicable safety rules and procedures

* Additional duties may be required

* Work in a manner that reflects the character of Jesus

REQUIREMENTS:

* Agrees with Cascade Christian Schools' Statement of Faith and Teaching Statements

* High school diploma or equivalent

* Able to work well as part of a team

* Must be punctual and reliable

* Ability to move consistently for up to eight hours per day

* Prior job-related experience in custodial procedures and building maintenance with increasing levels of responsibility

* Skills to operate standard custodial equipment

* Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations related to the handling of cleaning supplies and chemicals

* Superior customer service and relational skills

* Ability to perform prolonged physical activity, including standing, reaching, lifting up to fifty pounds, handling, and fingering

* Able to work independently and understand and carry out oral and written instructions.

* Willing to complete Criminal Justice fingerprint clearance, CPR, and first aid training

Work Hours:

2:30 pm - 11:00 pm

Salary Range:

$19.50-$22.50 Per Hour, Depending on experience
