Job Title: Janitor/Custodian

Location: Cascade Christian Schools - High School, Puyallup, Washington

Start Date: Immediate (ASAP)

Work Hours: 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm

Salary: $19.50 – $22.50 Per Hour, depending on experience

• Support campus administration, faculty, staff, and students
• Receive oral and written orders from the building administrator
• Perform work according to procedures and by building operational schedule
• Makes minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing repairs
• Perform painting and touch‑up painting
• Empty waste baskets
• Replace light bulbs
• Set up and tear down chairs, tables, and equipment for meetings
• Follow all applicable safety rules and procedures
• Perform additional duties as required
• Work in a manner that reflects the character of Jesus
• Walk in humility – a servant leader
• Ability to move consistently for up to eight hours per day
• Prior job‑related experience in custodial procedures and building maintenance with increasing levels of responsibility
• Skills to operate standard custodial equipment
• Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations related to the handling of cleaning supplies and chemicals
• Superior customer service and relational skills
• Ability to perform prolonged physical activity, including standing, reaching, lifting up to fifty pounds, handling, and fingering
• Able to work independently and understand and carry out oral and written instructions
• Willing to complete Criminal Justice fingerprint clearance, CPR, and first aid training

• Agrees with Cascade Christian Schools' Statement of Faith and Teaching Statements
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Able to work well as part of a team
• Must be punctual and reliable
• Ability to move consistently for up to eight hours per day
