Job Overview
Custodian –
Location:
FBI Quantico, VA. Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM.
- Check in with supervisor and teammates to review cleaning plan.
- Gather cleaning supplies (mops, brooms, vacuums, disinfectants) as needed.
- Perform floor cleaning: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming.
- Remove trash and replace bags.
- Clean restrooms, refill supplies, and wipe surfaces (tables, chairs, doors).
- Dust furniture, shelves, vents, windows, mirrors, and glass doors.
- Inspect area at shift end to ensure cleanliness and neatness.
- Return tools and supplies to storage and prepare for next shift.
- Willingness to learn new tasks.
- Ability to work well with teammates and supervisor.
- Friendly, can‑do attitude.
- Strong focus and effort dedication.
- Valid RealID.
- Ability to obtain and maintain government‑issued base access.

- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
- Repetitive motions: mopping, sweeping, wiping, scrubbing.
- Lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and supplies up to 25‑30 pounds.
- Navigate stairs, ramps, and uneven flooring safely.
- Work primarily indoors in commercial buildings with varying temperature and lighting.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, solvents, dust, dirt, allergens, and possible biohazardous materials; PPE required.
- Work in confined or awkward spaces (under sinks, behind furniture, inside equipment areas).
- Noise from vacuum cleaners and machinery; hearing protection provided as needed.
