Responsibilities:

The position will require the operator to respond to call-outs as needed when in the on-call rotation. Process control will be done by the operator through sampling at various points in the facility and running lab tests on the samples. The operator will be trained to interpret the data and make process changes as necessary. Facility maintenance will be the most important responsibility, which includes housekeeping, monitoring equipment, putting in work orders, calibration of equipment, and keeping company and client property clean and in working order.

The operator will be expected to communicate any issues, data, or equipment problems to other operators and the Ops supervisor in a timely manner. Collaboration is necessary during weekly meetings, and the operator will be responsible for giving weekly updates on the facility. The operator may sometimes assist the lab in the collection and analysis of samples. The operator will be responsible for inputting their data in the data management system.

The operator will be responsible for checking the SCADA system regularly to monitor all equipment and facility processes.

Comments/Special Instructions

We are open to most candidates. While a Wastewater License or experience in wastewater/drinking water is preferred, we are willing to train someone who hasn t worked in this industry before. The most important thing to stress to candidates is that once they are trained, they will be added to an On-call rotation each month, where, for a week, they will be required to work a weekend and answer all callouts/alarms that occur at the facility.

We would also prefer someone who is willing and ok to work overtime, as we often have new construction projects or equipment failures that may require extra time to be spent at the project site.
