Employment Location

Responsibilities
  • Builds, supports, trains, and develops cryogenic staff.
  • Nurtures and supports continuous learning and knowledge maintenance of Cryogenic Technicians.
  • Stewards all assets, manpower, and vendor relationships associated with equipment and services needed to support the Region’s bulk and micro bulk business.
  • Responds to customer operational issues and evaluates customer bulk processes, providing training for improvement and optimization.
  • Guides and/or facilitates scheduling of installations at customer sites and Airgas facilities.
  • Collaboratively creates and shares schematics/layouts based on site surveys and cost estimates for tank installations, planning all resource and equipment needs.
  • Leads the successful realization of schematics, including development of process flow and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&).
  • Provides strategic guidance on cryogenic system installs, removals, and service work as needed.
  • Ensures preventive maintenance scheduling and completion for cryogenic systems.
  • Requests painting of field assets as required.
  • Dedicated to meeting all safety standards and initiatives regarding installation and service of cryogenic systems, complying with company guidelines, procedures, and government regulations.
  • Performs additional duties and projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of technical experience in industrial operations management, including demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of metrics and tools to improve production efficiency.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.
  • Ability to develop, read, and comprehend complex schematics.
  • Flexible schedule to meet management and customer expectations.
  • Demonstrated math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and computation of rates, ratios, and percentages.
  • Self‑starter, self‑motivated, well organized, able to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Detail oriented with ability to complete handwritten compliance documentation accurately.
  • Demonstrated dedication to product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Must be able to safely drive a forklift.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry or related science.
  • Prior industry experience in gas, compressed/welding gases, or related industrial setting and/or cryogenic maintenance and installation experience.
  • Prior experience utilizing SAP.
Physical Demands

Employee will regularly be required to traverse through office and/or manufacturing locations, actively listen and exchange information, observe and assess information, use computer and telephone, and operate a motor vehicle. Employee may be required to remain stationary for extended periods, lift or move up to 60 pounds, and move up to 125 pounds with material handling equipment.

Work Environment

Workspace contains moving mechanical parts and a risk of electric shock. Requires indoor and outdoor environments in various seasonal weather conditions, temperatures ranging from
-10 to over 100°F. Frequent regional travel (25–50% of the worktime), sometimes requiring overnight travel. Current driver’s license and liability insurance required.
