** SUMMARY
* * Aftermarket Technician has a working knowledge of electronic product lines and will inspect aftermarket or returned electronic drives.  Aftermarket technicians will also perform the following duties.
** Essential Duties and Responsibilities
** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the following essential duties satisfactorily:
* Complete first level analysis and tear-down inspections on returned electronic drives, meeting the customer’s required timeline.
* Repair or refurbish electronic drives if required.
* Troubleshoot and determine root cause/corrective action (RCCA).
* Work with QE and ME to implement desired corrective/preventive actions.
* Perform functions in Oracle – look up BOM.
* Perform functions in Matrix – Enter RMA data and analysis.
* Correlate data, update daily and weekly RMA metrics.
* Position may require field service travel for up to one-week per visit.
* Apply knowledge from field returns to post pack audit process.

** The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job:
* Two-year degree
* Must have basic understanding and usage of mechanical gauging equipment and electrical test equipment
* Must be able to read and work to blueprints and work instructions
* Minimum two years’ experience in related field is required.
* Strong technical background is required to troubleshoot systems, machinery, test equipment.
* Use of judgment to plan, perform, and make decisions as to the failure mode of the product.
* Requires a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Must have good communication and computer skills. Must be able to communicate with a customer verbally and in writing.
* Must be self-directed and able to work well in a team environment.
