Janitor / Environmental Services Technician

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Janitor to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within a medical facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine cleaning and sanitation tasks in patient care areas, offices, restrooms, waiting rooms, and common spaces while adhering to healthcare cleaning standards and infection control procedures.

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, examination rooms, offices, hallways, waiting areas, and restrooms.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors according to established schedules.
• Empty trash and biohazard waste containers following proper disposal procedures.
• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces to help prevent the spread of infection.
• Replenish restroom and facility supplies, including soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue.
• Dust furniture, fixtures, equipment, and other surfaces.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors as assigned.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and supply shortages to supervisors.
• Follow all facility safety guidelines, infection control protocols, and OSHA standards.
• Operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely and effectively.
• Assist with special cleaning projects and emergency cleanups as needed.
• Maintain a professional appearance and courteous demeanor when interacting with staff, patients, and visitors.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous janitorial, custodial, or environmental services experience preferred, especially in healthcare settings.
• Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemical safety practices.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Reliable transportation and strong attendance record.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and tools.
• Ability to work around cleaning chemicals and disinfectants.
