Location: Rahway, NJ
Schedule: Full-Time | Shifts between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Weekend Availability Required)
Pay Rate: $17–$23 per hour
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Maintenance Technician to help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our residents and staff. This role is responsible for completing daily maintenance tasks, responding to work orders, and ensuring the facility remains in excellent operating condition.
Key ResponsibilitiesComplete daily maintenance work orders in a timely manner.
Perform basic plumbing, electrical, and general building repairs.
Conduct routine in-house building inspections and identify maintenance needs.
Ensure the facility and grounds remain safe, clean, secure, and well-maintained.
Perform preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
Complete minor carpentry, painting, flooring, and repair projects.
Replace HVAC filters and assist with routine HVAC maintenance.
Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and staff.
Follow all safety procedures and facility policies.
Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience.
Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
Comfortable using hand tools and basic power tools.
Basic computer skills and willingness to learn facility systems.
Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Willingness to learn new maintenance skills.
Must be available to work weekends as needed.
Ability to lift, carry, bend, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
