As our Facilities Maintenance Technician, you’ll be the go-to expert ensuring our hospice campus and regional offices run smoothly every day. Your work helps create a safe, comfortable environment for patients, families, and staff.

Schedule:
Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm; participate in after-hours/on-call rotation.
You’ll be the backbone of our facilities operations, responsible for maintaining the buildings, grounds, and essential systems that keep our organization running.
Daily & Routine Responsibilities- Maintain detailed logs for all major equipment and systems across the campus (HVAC, life-safety systems, water heaters, generators, oxygen/suction systems, sewer pumps, landscape features, and more).
- Conduct monthly facility walkthroughs to identify safety issues and maintenance needs.
- Troubleshoot and perform repairs across the campus and regional offices.
- Complete routine building, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing maintenance.
- Assist with meeting and event setup and breakdown.
- Support emergent housekeeping needs in collaboration with custodial vendors and facilities staff.
- Maintain and repair custodial equipment.
- Remove waste from grounds and clear snow/ice from walkways and driveways during inclement weather.
- Carry an agency-provided phone and participate in after-hours/on-call rotation.
- Protect patient confidentiality at all times.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

- Deliver services in alignment with ACHC Standards and Medicare Conditions of Participation when applicable.
- Comply with all relevant state and federal regulations.
- Communicate concerns or potential risks promptly to your supervisor or management team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in building, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing maintenance.
- Maintenance experience in a medical facility preferred.
- Experience with oxygen, generator, and sewage pumping systems preferred.
- Completion of a skilled trade apprenticeship preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to coordinate warranty issues with vendors and internal staff.
- Sensory abilities sufficient for communication and documentation.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
- Ability to safely climb and use ladders.
