Position: Floating Service Technician (Triangle/Triad Area)

Overview

Floating Service Technician - Triangle/Triad Area. The Floating Service Technician plays a key role in maintaining the functionality, safety, and appearance of multiple Kane Realty managed communities in the Triangle/Triad area. This position provides hands-on maintenance support across various properties as needed, ensuring a consistent standard of quality and care for our residents and assets.

Responsibilities
  • Perform general maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and painting.
  • Repair and maintain structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls, and building exteriors.
  • Prepare vacant units for new move-ins, ensuring all standards are met.
  • Inspect, maintain, repair, and replace HVAC systems as needed.
  • Complete preventative maintenance activities across assigned properties.
  • Respond to 24-hour emergency maintenance requests (on a pre-scheduled rotation).
  • Perform grounds work such as trash pick-up, sweeping, and light landscaping.
  • Maintain and service community pools as required.
  • Coordinate and complete special projects as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager.
  • Follow all safety and OSHA requirements.
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
What You Bring Skills & Requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with residents, visitors, contractors, and team members.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work some weekends and participate in the on-call rotation.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen upon hire.
Education/Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous maintenance experience in multifamily housing preferred.
  • EPA (CFC) Certification and Certified Pool Operator (CPO) strongly preferred.
