Compensation: $25.00-$27.00 per hour + Performance Incentives

At Common Place, we are dedicated to creating vibrant living spaces that foster connection and community. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a vital part of our property management team, you will be responsible for maintaining the physical integrity of our properties and ensuring a pleasant living environment for our residents.
Our ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and has a commitment to delivering exceptional service while ensuring that buildings and equipment are kept in optimal condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances.
- Respond promptly and effectively to resident maintenance requests and issues.
- Conduct regular property inspections to identify and address maintenance needs proactively.
- Maintain and update maintenance logs and records, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Work with the Property Manager to prioritize maintenance and repairs based on urgency and budget.
- Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or services.
- Assist with preparation of units for move-ins, including minor renovations and paint touch-ups.
- Maintain the grounds to ensure clean, safe, and orderly external property conditions.
- Participate in on-call emergency maintenance rotation as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on maintenance experience, preferably in a residential setting.
- Able to sit, stand, bend, crawl, and stoop for extended periods of time.
- Able to push, pull, lift up to 50lbs regularly.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and general repairs.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues effectively.
- Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Basic computer skills for logging requests and maintenance records.
