- Oversee daily operations of the Concrete Maintenance Unit, including staff supervision and project management
- Gather and analyze data for long‑range work plans and asset management improvement
- Recommend and oversee employee training and development initiatives
Prepare and maintain reports, correspondence, records, and other documentation - Serve as a lead worker during snow/ice response and other natural disasters
- High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalency
- 3 to 5 years of experience in light to medium construction equipment operation or related work
- Valid North Carolina Class C Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record, or the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
- Valid North Carolina Class A Commercial Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record, or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and applicable safety principles and practices
- Experience in training crew members on the jobsite
- Familiarity with standard practices, methods, and materials of assigned work
- Ability to operate various construction equipment effectively
- Experience in emergency response situations
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with coworkers and the public
