What this job involves: Lead the operation, maintenance, and repair of critical facility equipment across all building systems to ensure optimal performance and safety standards. You will serve as a technical expert in one specialized craft area while maintaining multi-skilled capabilities across electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and central utility plant operations. This role requires hands-on expertise combined with quality control oversight to deliver superior facility management services and maintain JLL's commitment to operational excellence for our clients.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Perform comprehensive maintenance, monitoring, and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems
Execute preventative maintenance programs including cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and replacing parts to maintain HVAC systems at optimum performance levels
Maintain responsibility for facility services, purchasing and inventory control, contracted maintenance oversight, and technical proficiency standards
Review monthly client service request summaries to identify patterns and implement corrective measures for recurrent operational problems
Record equipment readings and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation and compliance with applicable standards
Evaluate vendors and suppliers on regular basis regarding quality and competitive pricing while verifying accuracy of deliveries
Comply with departmental safety policies for hazardous materials storage, usage, and disposal while maintaining clean and safe workplace conditions
Required Qualifications:
Technical certification or associate degree in mechanical systems, electrical technology, HVAC, or related field
Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in facility maintenance and building systems operation
Demonstrated technical expertise in at least one craft area (Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, or Central Utility Plant Operations)
Multi-skilled capabilities across various building systems with ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues
Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations for hazardous materials handling and workplace safety compliance
Strong problem-solving skills with ability to diagnose and resolve operational problems efficiently
Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks including lifting, climbing, and working in various environmental conditions
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional certifications in HVAC, electrical systems, or facility management (EPA, NATE, electrical license, etc.)
Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and building automation systems
Knowledge of energy management principles and sustainability best practices
Experience in vendor management and contract oversight for maintenance services
Understanding of preventative maintenance scheduling and inventory management systems
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, vendors, and team members
