CUSTODIAL SHIFT SUPERVISOR

Kane Realty has an opening for a Custodial Shift Supervisor who will be accountable for the supervision of 2nd and 3rd shift custodial staff, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and service for the property. Duties include assist, coordinate, direct, inspect and evaluate work performance of all custodial service staff assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Plans, organizes and coordinates day-to-day custodial and grounds activities by preparing & prioritizing work assignments; prioritizes and coordinates duties and assignments of operations crews; ensures effective workflow and facilitates operations; adjusts work schedules as approved by the Custodial Manager.
  • Reviews and revises work methods, training and procedures to assure compliance with contracts, regulations, policies, and standards. Conduct site inspections and site visits to ensure staff maintain high level of cleanliness to meet or exceed industry standards on all assigned contracts.
  • Assist the Custodial Manager to coordinate and implement all safety programs and procedures related to each building site.
  • Assist the Custodial Manager to develop, implement and maintain training plans for custodial team and ensure all training is documented and on file.
  • Assist the Custodial Manager to determine equipment, supplies and other tools needed to complete the tasks at each site.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Work independently and effectively with little direction and use good judgment when making decisions.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to balance, bend, stand, walk, kneel, twist, stretch, climb and sit.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to push and pull up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to tolerate environmental conditions, such as hot, cold, wetness, dust, noise, etc.
  • Ability to drive and travel independently to various sites. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to read and understand labels and instructions, particularly on the use and application of cleaning chemicals and products.
Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Experience

High School Diploma or GED plus one to three years custodial or service related operations experience and a minimum of two years' supervisor/team leader experience. Pass a background check and drug test
