Position is located out of our Charlotte, NC district office.
JOB SUMMARYThis position is a customer service-oriented Fire Sprinkler Inspector with a minimum of 5 years of experience with water-based fire protection systems. The ideal Inspector will be organized, professional, and a good communicator; and will provide accurate and detailed inspections reports with all proper documentation of NFPA deficiencies. This important position will also establish rapport and build positive relationships with our customers.
JOBRESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform routine inspections, testing, maintenance, and services of fire sprinkler, standpipe, and fire pump systems in compliance with NFPA 25 with minimal supervision.
- Daily communications with Manager and/or Schedule Coordinator on inspection or project delays, requirements and general status of job.
- Conducts service calls and makes repairs assigned.
- Perform smaller repairs, upfits, and internal pipe inspections as directed.
- Responsible for following the safety protocols of the company.
- Responsible for the maintenance of assigned vehicle.
- Performs other tasks and duties as requested by management.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in inspections, testing, maintenance, and services of water-based systems.
- Must possess or have the ability to obtain within 30 days of employment, a North Carolina Inspector license and both North and South Carolina backflow preventer certifications.
- Willing to coordinate between inspection deficiencies and service required to correct found deficiencies.
- Capability to present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction.
- Able to complete documentation and administrative duties as necessary; proficient in the use of personal computers and Microsoft Office tools, with experience in Service Trade and Inspect Point preferred.
- Demonstrated competency in verbal and written business communication skills.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and meet company driving requirements.
Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required. MVR checks are required for all driving positions.
