Cleaning Technician I: Page Rd Campus

Overview

The Cleaning Technician I is responsible for performing routine cleaning and upkeep of the IAR facility at the Page Road Campus. This role ensures a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for community members, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to follow instructions while working both independently and as part of a team.

• Basic cleaning in accordance with the IAR Cleaning Plan
• Sweeping and mopping floors
• Detailing and spot-cleaning surfaces
• Dusting furniture and fixtures
• Emptying and removing trash
• Vacuuming carpets and rugs

• Ensure all assigned areas are cleaned on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, as scheduled
• Report any concerns regarding staff, equipment, or conditions to the Cleaning Supervisor
• Perform additional duties as needed or requested by the supervisor
• Support special projects or seasonal deep cleaning tasks
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, quality, and safety
• Cover open shifts when necessary
• Fulfill duties at Page Road Campus as assigned

• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets cleanliness and quality standards
• Inspect and maintain cleaning equipment in good working condition
• Follow all safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
• Submit facility work requests for repairs or maintenance issues

• Good Command of English
• Ability to work well with others and follow instructions from the supervisor
• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude at all times
• Follow all IAR policies and workplace standards
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
