Job Inputs:Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, furniture, and furniture systems to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
Coordinate and communicate effectively with contractors and vendors for facility-related projects and services.
Inspect interior and exterior facilities regularly to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and compliance issues.
Order and manage inventory of building maintenance supplies and equipment to support operational needs.
Adhere to and enforce safety protocols, OSHA regulations, fire safety codes, ADA requirements, and other relevant standards.
Operate and maintain hand and power tools, maintenance vehicles, and lifts effectively and safely.
Respond promptly to facility maintenance emergencies and service requests to minimize downtime and disruptions.
Participate in training sessions, meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance technical skills and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to promote a positive work environment and achieve departmental goals.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs for reporting and compliance purposes.
Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned
High School Diploma or equivalent
Vocational training or certification in facilities management, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, or related fields is a plus
Familiarity with maintenance management software (e.g., Cherwell) a plus
Proficient with hand tools
Work Experience:
Experience in facilities management, including hands-on experience with maintenance and repairs of buildings, furniture, and systems
Experience with fire safety and security systems, OSHA and ADA regulations, and identifying and addressing unsafe facility conditions
Prior experience ordering and managing building maintenance supplies a plus
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated, independent, and reliable with a strong work ethic
