This is a full-time, on-site Maintenance Technician role based in Randolph, MA. The Maintenance Technician will perform routine and emergency maintenance on building systems, common areas, and residential units, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC-related tasks as appropriate. Responsibilities include responding promptly to work orders, diagnosing issues, completing repairs, and documenting work performed. The role also involves conducting regular property inspections, performing preventive maintenance on equipment, and helping maintain clean, safe, and well-functioning grounds and facilities.
The Maintenance Technician will collaborate with property management and other team members, interact professionally with residents, and support after-hours or on-call coverage as needed.
- Strong maintenance and repair skills, including experience with general building Maintenance & Repair and Industrial Maintenance tasks.
- Proficiency in Equipment Maintenance, including monitoring performance, identifying wear, and coordinating repairs or replacements.
- Ability to perform Troubleshooting to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and building system issues efficiently and safely.
- Experience implementing Preventive Maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment and asset life.
- Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repair in a residential or commercial setting.
- Familiarity with safety procedures, building codes, and proper use of tools and equipment.
- Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact respectfully and professionally with residents and colleagues.
- Strong time management, reliability, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team, including occasional on-call or weekend work.
- Ability to lift and carry moderate weights, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks required for property maintenance.
