Since 1963, Liberty Superstores — proudly owned and operated by the Patnoe family for four generations — has been serving the Black Hills of South Dakota and the surrounding areas. Over the years, we’ve grown to 10 vehicle franchises across 6 locations in Rapid City and Sturgis, offering top brands including Chrysler, Jeep, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Volkswagen, Hyundai, Fiat, Dodge, Ram, and Chevrolet.

Most recently, we’ve expanded into powersports with Polaris, Tracker, and Malibu, giving our customers even more ways to enjoy the open road, water, and trails.

Cleans and refurbishes new and used units. Conforms to dealership and/or manufacturer specifications and time allowances. This is an entry-level position that we intend not to keep, but for you to grow and become a tech here

• Wash Units
• Operate the Forklift to bring techs' boats, unload units & parts
• Leave to get special parts items
• Helps the Service Manager in any way
• High Energy, and work efficiently without having to be supervised
• Washes and waxes vehicle exterior, cleans interior and exterior windows,
• Vacuum the interior of units to remove loose dirt and debris.
• Cleans upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using appropriate cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices.
• Cleans engine and engine compartment with steam-cleaning equipment and/or various cleaning agents.
• Applies dressing on tires and tire wells.
• Inspects vehicles for noticeable defects, such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery, and poor mechanical operation.
• Removes all window stickers on sold units
• Clean and organize the lot.
• Assistant Technicians
  • Pull units back and forth from the lot across the street to their working area.
  • Help get parts ready for the technicians.

Necessary to adequately perform the job with no assistance.

• Level of education required –High School grade education. Communication skills (written and verbal) – moderate level required to interact with customers. Certifications required – driver’s license (current)

• Seeing – required in order to drive vehicles. Bending – required when cleaning vehicles. Lifting – up to 30 pounds infrequently. Amount of walking required – majority of time is spent walking or standing. Adverse weather conditions – moderate/outside frequently in all elements. Noise Level – moderate/noisy.

• Must be able to pass a background Check.
• Must be able to pass a motor vehicle check.

Retail Environment:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 3 p.m., and a day off during the week. A two-week total of at least 80 hours is required.
