Facilities Maintenance Technician – Red Bank, NJ
Compensation: $22 - $25/hr based on experience
Schedule: Full Time, Monday – Friday, 3:30 pm – 12:00 am
Job Description
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is a mid‑level position working under the supervision of the site Facilities Manager/Supervisor. Duties include assisting in maintaining all mechanical systems and the general maintenance of the commercial property. In this role you will help schedule daily maintenance, complete tasks with minimal supervision, and inspect premises, reporting any issues directly to your supervisor.
Responsibilities- Assist in the daily operation and general maintenance requirements of commercial equipment.
- Perform necessary maintenance on all mechanical systems.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs as directed by site management or Maintenance Supervisor.
- Assist with shipping, receiving, and mail activities; maintain floor conditions as needed.
- Drive for occasional patient transport as required; perform other job duties as assigned.
- Participate in hospital Emergency Response Programs, including fire evacuations, hazmat remediation, weather emergencies, and major equipment failures.
- Perform daily/weekly tasks for medical gas/vacuum, fire detection/suppression, lighting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, belt, condensate, general conditions, equipment evaluation, central vacuum, grounds maintenance, and snow removal.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- General computer knowledge and experience with computerized work order management systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of maintenance and construction practices.
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
- Fluent English (speaking & reading). Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
- Experience in commercial building operations and maintenance.
- Technical school training or certification.
