This position supports the department with the installation of copper and fiber infrastructures in datacenter design. The individual will also develop cost estimates and budgets for new projects across a portfolio of fast‑paced construction projects. They will be involved in solutioning, pricing and proposal phases of large design‑build construction and white‑space fit‑out projects.

• Perform all facets of structured cabling for both copper and fiber, in horizontal and vertical topographies on construction sites and live customer facilities.
• Set up, maintain, troubleshoot, and decommission new or existing infrastructure within data centers and related facilities.
• Create shop drawings and other documentation for potential change orders during project execution.
• Assist estimation and procurement teams to ensure correct material orders and project pricing.
• Compile “as‑built” close‑out documentation upon completion of projects.
• Perform site walks to assist the estimation team in properly pricing material and labor for new opportunities.
• 10% or less travel.

Education/Experience

• 5+ years of experience in installation of copper and fiber infrastructures within multi‑tenant buildings and data‑center design.
• Experience in project management of full‑scale data‑infrastructure/structured cabling solutions.
• Experience installing ladder racks, cable troughs, basket trays, and ancillary materials associated with install.
• Good attention to detail and strong ability to multi‑task.
• Ability to work off lifts and ladders with a clear understanding of best safety practices.
• Experience in fiber‑optic mechanical splicing, single‑strand and ribbon fusion splicing.
• Knowledge of testing point‑to‑point fiber connections using MTP, SC, LC, ST in both multimode and single‑mode types.
• Knowledge and experience testing copper cabling infrastructures.
• Ability to read and understand architectural design drawings.
• Effective communication with clients, supervisors, and leadership team.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and outstanding customer‑relations skills.
• Independent decision‑making ability.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to pass a background check.
• High school diploma.

Computer Skills

• Windows power user, proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Excel, and Word.
• Experience with fiber testing software such as Viavi and Fluke Link Ware.
• Procore vendor‑management software.

Certificates and Licenses

• OSHA certification preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities

No supervisory responsibilities.

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or working on a computer. Moderate noise level. Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds. May be required to walk around facilities.

$65,013 – $97,580 per year.
