Housekeeper Opportunity At RAMC

RAMC is looking for a dependable Housekeeper to join our growing Environmental Services team!

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 3:00 PM- 11:00 PM | Weekends as needed

What You'll Do:

The Housekeeper I is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our patients, visitors, and staff. Daily responsibilities include cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas; sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, emptying waste containers, restocking supplies, and sanitizing high-touch surfaces. This position follows established infection prevention and safety procedures while helping ensure our facility remains clean and comfortable for everyone we serve.

Experience:

• Prior housekeeping experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to understand and carry out detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan and prioritize tasks.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements:

• Continuous walking
• Frequent standing while performing tasks
• Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds
• Frequent pushing or pulling of up to 25 pounds
• Occasional climbing of stairs, ladders, and ramps
• Occasional bending, kneeling, squatting, crawling, twisting, and balancing
• Occasional reaching overhead and in front of the body

Potential Hazards:

OSHA Blood Borne/TB Classification Class II – Occupational exposure to blood and Other Potentially Infectious Materials (OPIMs) is reasonably expected to occur in routine performance of duties.

Continuously exposed to needles/syringes/sharps, waste handling (general trash) and red infectious waste.

Frequently exposed to toxic/caustic chemical hazards & hazardous waste.
