Responsible for the overall health of all mechanical and electrical systems, building maintenance, and performance of all data modules. The department is staffed 24/7 onsite with Critical Facility Engineers (CFEs) on each shift and serves as the primary contact for customers and the first line of defense for campus uptime.

Lead Critical Facilities Engineer based on-site in Reno, NV. Monday–Friday 7:00AM to 3:30PM. Hourly role eligible for an annual bonus target. Focus on technical writing for CMOPs/MOPs and overseeing construction transition to site operations. Requires strong collaboration, detail orientation, and effective communication.

• Coordinate work efforts/task to ensure seamless operations on shift and between all shifts.
• Primary escalation point for on shift CFEs.
• Assign tasking to on shift CFEs.
• Drive high‑level tasks and projects to completion.
• Support, create, and review MOP/SOP/EOPs for critical work.
• Work under limited supervision, both independently and within a team environment.
• Manage multiple one‑time and ongoing projects.
• Respond to safety and emergency situations and maintain a safe and secure work environment.
• Use discretion and judgment to organize workflow and adapt to changing priorities.
• Frequent contact with employees at all levels and external vendors.

• Operate, perform maintenance and service repairs on critical data center systems (UPS, PDU, diesel generators, ATS equipment, building controls, chillers, CRAH, etc.).
• Develop reliability reports to ensure availability and capacity targets with 100% uptime.
• Coordinate and oversee all maintenance vendors to ensure safety, equipment protection, and continuous power to critical loads.
• Create required MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs to ensure all maintenance activities are performed correctly.

• Minimum 8 years (10+ preferred) of hands‑on experience maintaining and repairing industrial electrical and mechanical systems in mission‑critical facilities, including generators, fuel delivery systems, switch gear, PDUs, UPS, HVAC, and building management/automation equipment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of operating, maintaining, inspecting, and testing critical electrical distribution systems and HVAC.
• Ability to read commercial building blueprints, electrical single‑line diagrams, and schematics.
• Technical writing skills with experience creating, coordinating, updating, and modifying MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs for critical equipment.
• Strong emphasis on technical skills and training, with intent to obtain a license within a reasonable time.
• Reliable transportation for reporting to work for shifts or emergencies; travel expected to be less than 5%.
• Successful completion of a background check.
