Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Job Description
The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment including forklifts, conveyors, wrappers, and routine building maintenance as needed.
Schedule:
Thursday
- Friday 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM & Saturday
- Sunday 5:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
Shift Differential: $1.00/hr.
This position is also eligible for a bonus based on performance subject to the Company’s applicable plans.
Job duties include contact with other employees, operating heavy machinery, and access to proprietary information, raw materials, finished merchandise, and other items of value. Such access may be supervised or unsupervised. A review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business, its operations, reputation, and the safety of staff, employees, and vendors.
Responsibilities- Assist the technician in completing and updating information in eAM and contribute to the maintenance department’s achievement of additional levels of Rx.
- Identify problems, troubleshoot, evaluate, repair equipment, and/or make adjustments or corrections to parts or equipment.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse technicians and different levels of management and work as a team member in the maintenance department.
- Ensure HKE standards are maintained and all safety and company rules are followed.
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.
- Have at least one (1) year of work experience in maintenance.
- Have an associate’s degree or higher.
- Have at least one (1) year of work experience using material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, order pickers, vacu-hoists, drum dollys, conveyor belts).
- Have at least one (1) year of maintenance experience applying electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic concepts.
