Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, General Labor
OnTrac is hiring a Fleet Maintenance Technician I in Reno, NV.
Shift: Saturday - Wednesday from 5:30am - 2:00pm.
Location:
9715 N. Virginia St., Reno, NV 89506. This position is performed onsite at one of the Company’s operational facilities.
Compensation:
Base pay range $25.81 - $32.26 hourly; potential up to $25.81 - $38.71 over tenure. Includes shift differentials, overtime, and other forms of compensation in accordance with Company policies and law.
- Ensure all fleet trailing equipment is inspected, maintained, and repaired in accordance with federal and state regulations and company standards.
- Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment by following Company Safety Program policies and partnering with Safety leadership.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections on fleet trailing equipment.
- Use a personal or Company vehicle as required to conduct business for the company.
- Perform housekeeping duties and keep the work area clean.
- Perform other tasks or assignments as needed to support business objectives.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 1+ year of related experience and/or training in a mechanical setting, or an equivalent combination of education and specific work experience.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures.
- Experience as a semi‑trailer maintenance technician highly preferred.
- Ability to perform physical demands including lifting/moving up to 125 pounds and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Physical Requirements
- Works outdoors; PPE provided for all weather conditions.
- High physical activity; regularly lift, push, pull, or move items up to 125 pounds.
- Stand, walk, sit, and use hands to handle or feel; occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.
- Ability to talk or hear regularly.
- Responsibilities, duties, and working conditions may be revised based on business needs.
