As the Maintenance Manager, you will lead maintenance operations at our Renton, WA facility and report to the General Manager. You’ll drive equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement to support safe, efficient operations.
This role supports safe production, reliable equipment performance, and strong asset care.
What You’ll Do Site Leadership & Maintenance Operations- Lead and develop the maintenance team to deliver safe, efficient, high‑quality work.
- Oversee maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of plant equipment, facilities, and infrastructure.
- Manage preventive maintenance programs to maximize uptime and performance.
- Monitor equipment and systems to reduce unplanned downtime and address issues early.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment, facilities, and grounds to identify needs and improvements.
- Maintain the CMMS for work orders, parts, and maintenance history.
- Help set and manage maintenance and capital budgets.
- Partner with production and scheduling to plan maintenance with minimal disruption.
- Support production training on equipment care and preventive maintenance.
- Communicate breakdowns, delays, and unresolved issues promptly to plant leadership.
- Plan and coordinate maintenance work, including repairs, replacements, and facility improvements.
- Coordinate vendors, OEMs, and contractors for equipment service and site improvements.
- Manage maintenance work to meet schedules, budgets, and operational needs.
- Work with internal teams and service providers to ensure timely maintenance results.
- Conduct audits and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable regulations.
- Support environmental requirements and coordinate with agencies as needed.
- Support inspections, documentation, and corrective actions.
- Promote safe work practices at all times.
- Hire, train, coach, and evaluate maintenance team members.
- Manage staffing levels and overtime.
- Oversee parts inventory and procurement to balance availability and cost.
- Build a collaborative team culture grounded in clear communication.
- 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 2+ years of experience leading maintenance teams.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazardous materials handling, and safe work practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance planning systems.
- Experience using CMMS tools.
- Strong knowledge of industrial equipment, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read equipment manuals, procedures, and technical documentation.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience as a manager with direct reports, including responsibility for hiring, performance management, discipline, and compensation decisions.
- More than 5 years of maintenance experience and more than 2 years leading maintenance teams is strongly preferred.
