Job Overview
Operations Technician Sr. at Williams.
Responsibilities- Perform a variety of tasks to safely maintain facility equipment and support pipeline operations, including applying technical standards and governmental requirements.
- Carry out moderate to highly sophisticated technical assignments as prescribed by leadership, analyzing data to resolve issues.
- Read and interpret drawings; draft operations and maintenance procedures.
- Follow all company policies and applicable procedures.
- Coordinate protection of community, personnel, environment and assets.
- Oversee knowledge of site/location/equipment specific permits and compliance.
- Complete assigned reports, logs and maintain accurate records.
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Minimum six (6) years of demonstrated ability as an Operations Technician for similar equipment or facility (Operations Technician Sr.).
- Preferred:
Associate’s or 2‑year technical degree. - Preferred:
Minimum six (6) years of multifaceted operations technician experience within a natural gas processing or compression facility. - Valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and PC skills.
- Proficient / advanced knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers.
- Demonstrated aptitude for embracing technology and applications to drive operational efficiency.
- Excellent organizational/interpersonal skills with safety as the utmost priority.
- Work in extreme temperatures, loud noises, and enclosed spaces.
- Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed.
- Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat for long periods.
- Work at elevated levels, including from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and small towers with appropriate PPE.
- Available to work after hours, on‑call rotations, nights, weekends, and holidays as the need arises.
- May be required to work overtime (10‑12 hour shifts) and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays.
$31 – $45 – $60 per hour.
